The Young Israel of Plainview offers its members a warm atmosphere and a lifetime of friendship. Plainview is a quiet, tree lined suburban community, far removed from the noise of the city, but close enought to commute. Plainview offers a wide range of housing, a growing orthodox community, and a heimish kehilla to call home. The observant community is blessed with some of the best kosher shopping on Long Island. All three major supermarkets in town (two Shoprites and Fairway) offer a full range of kosher products including: fresh glatt kosher meat, fresh kosher fish, takeout food, and more. We have our own kosher, shomer shabbat bakery (Pearl's) and shomer shabbos Meat Store - Kosher Emporium, a kosher ice cream store (Baskin Robbins on Old Country Road) and a dairy restaurant (Hunki's Pizzaria).
