As it gets dark earlier if anyone has a problem coming to mikveh during stated times please contact Mrs. Gil or

Diane Rabin so that we can accommodate your needs.

 

Our mikveh cannot remain open past 11:00 PM based on Town of Oyster Bay requirements.   Please arrange your plans so that

you can arrive during the posted hours; 40 minutes before closing for a bath and 20 minutes before closing for a shower.

Our community is fortunate to have the opportunity to hear from Rabbi Menachem Leibtag on Saturday night February 4.   The

presentation is titled "Are Some More Equal Than Other" and it will start at 7:30pm, followed by dinner from Hunki’s.   We would

like to get an idea of attendance for a proper food order.   No commitment necessary, but we would appreciate if you can confirm

your interest in attending via email to - ossipa@yahoo.com

 

Anyone interested in serving on the Nominating Committee to propose the slate of officers and trustees for 2012-2013

Young Israel of Plainview Little League 2012 - Games will be played on Sunday’s from the end of March through the end of

May/mid June, including Playoffs.   Boys in grades 3 thru 10 are eligible to play in the Prep (3/4), Junior (5/6), Intermediate (7/8)

and Senior (9/10) Divisions of the Jewish Community Baseball League.  The League plays hardball under the Williamsport Little League

Daniel Pearl Foundation, he continues his son’s life-work to promote inter-cultural communication worldwide through journalism

fellowships aimed at promoting honest reporting and East-West understanding and public dialogues between Jews and Muslims.

The Plainview Women’s Weekly Tehillim Group has returned to its original time slot: Tuesday evening beginning promptly at 8:45PM

at the home of Sharon Stochel.  Please join us in reading Tehillim on behalf of those who are very ill.  Sessions usually last around ½ hour.
